Konjac Sponge

White Konjac Sponge: Free from chemicals, colouring, additives and irritants. 100% biodegradable and fully sustainable, this naturally moisture rich plant fibre is alkaline to balance the acidity of skin oils and impurities.

​Pink Konjac Sponge: Pink clay, or rose clay, is a mixture of red and white clay and is the mildest of all the French clays. Naturally mineral rich in iron oxide and silica, French Pink Clay has a softening effect on hard, rough skin and is said to improve circulation and help repair connective tissue.

Bamboo Charcoal Konjac: As bamboo is actually a grass it is extremely fast growing and a 100% sustainable resource. Naturally antibacterial and antifungal, our Bamboo Charcoal contains activated carbon and minerals which have been used for centuries to absorb toxins, remove excess oils and fight hard to reach bacteria.

The Japanese Konjac Sponge is a 100% natural facial and body cleansing sponge made from vegetable fibers of Konjac (Konnyaku). The Konjac Potato or Konnyaku is a perennial plant native to Asia, and can be found growing wild at very high altitudes. A totally natural food source, Konjac is 97% water, rich in mineral goodness and low in calories. Naturally alkaline, Konjac is pH neutral which leaves skin perfectly balanced.

First discovered in the Indochinese region, Konnyaku has been used in Korea, Japan and China for over 1,500 as medicine, food, a dieting aid and as a beauty product. Highly prized for its health giving properties the Konjac Sponge was originally created for delicate baby skin.

Directions & Care:
Rinse and soak the dry Konjac Sponge with warm water until fully softened and expanded. A wet sponge expands approximately one and half size compared to the dry one. For first time use, the sponge might take up to 15 minutes of soaking until it becomes soft.Soaking it with hot or warm water rather than cold water will help making the texture of the sponge softer. Cleanse your face with water-soaked sponge daily or every other day. Alternatively, combine it with your favorite cleanser to make the sponge even softer and to create a rich lather for an incredibly therapeutic experience.

Rinse the sponge with clean water. Using clean hands, press the sponge gently in between palms to drain water out. DO NOT twist, stretch or press the sponge too hard as it may damage the sponge.

Hang the sponge in a well-ventilated area to dry it. Do not expose the sponge to direct sunlight and do not leave the sponge in humid place. Alternatively, keep the sponge in a container and store it in a refrigerator.
